Grahamstown Public School library is located right in the heart of the school. We are lucky to have a well resourced library, which is divided into three zones - information literacy and non fiction. Students and teachers may borrow and utilise books for research and use our lab of eighteen computers and smartboard. Our reading section houses our fiction collection for relaxing and enjoyment. The connected classroom, with an additional smartboard and conferencing media, is also a valuable asset of the library in its ability to go beyond its physical walls and have greater access to better resources.
The library and computer lab is open for free access during lunch Tuesday to Thursday.
During lunch, the library is an inviting place where students read , play chess and educational computer games, using the computers to research and complete assignments.
Our libary catalogue is available to all students. Please note you will need your student internet log in details for access.
For fiction and non fiction books, our tips are as follows:
All junior fiction is located around the reading mat. Fiction is the red section and non-fiction is the orange section, where labels indicate the dewey numbers for each shelf.
