Events
School events bring learning to life and help shape our school culture. They help students build confidence, connect with others and celebrate their progress. Events also give families a chance to be involved in school life and share in their child’s achievements.
Our school event may include:
- school orientation days
- sports carnivals
- open day and school tours
- Harmony Week and Book Week events
- excursions and incursions
- performances, concerts or school productions
- fundraising, charity and community events
- award assemblies
- graduation and other celebrations.

Book Week
Book Week is a special time at Grahamstown Public School, where we come together to celebrate a love of reading and storytelling. Throughout the week, students enjoy a range of engaging activities, including a much-loved costume parade and a vibrant book fair. These events help to spark imagination, promote literacy, and build a strong reading culture across our school community.
Athletics Carnival
Every year our students participate in our Athletics Carnival and as always our Grahamstown students make us incredibly proud with their effort, sportsmanship and determination.
Harmony Day
Grahamstown Public School has a rich multicultural history and proudly celebrates the diverse backgrounds of our students and families. We value inclusivity and belonging, and this is reflected in our everyday practices and whole-school events.
